18. Pacific Northwest. Creating through the chaos.

Okay, there is kind of a hectic back story to this photograph..
For the transformation challenge, I wanted to take one of a post-apocalyptic city scene. It’s a bit dark for my style, but I used to have dreams about things of these sorts a lot and I decided that I was finally going to depict that in an image.
One of my best friends and I went to Downtown Portland and just messed around the city for the evening, and I took about 200 pictures. It was funny because each shot I took I was thinking about how fun it would be to destroy that scene.
On the way back… we actually created our own destruction; of course, accidentally. We got in a car accident, and ended up spending the rest of our eveing in the hospital. It wasn’t that bad, just whiplash and deep muscle bruising… it was a fender bender.
Needless to say, we emerged from the hospital with matching friendship bracelets, and fresh inspiration.
